Bee Good Guide To Glowing Summer Skin

With summer now on the way, many of us are changing things up – even if it's for a stay-at-home summer break. Whether you're bringing summer clothes down from the loft or putting some new plants in the garden, it’s a great time to make some strategic swaps in your skincare routine too. Here are a few small changes which made now will see you glowing well into Summer!

 

1. Ramp up your cleanse

Along with the great protection, sunscreens mean an additional layer of product to take off at night, so it’s time to kick the cleansing up a gear. A quick swipe with a wipe isn’t going to cut (for your face or the planet) and many skintellectuals swear by double-cleansing (using an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser such as our Honey & Propolis Cream Cleanser). If that sounds a little too much like hard work, a really good cream or balm cleanser should be up to the job.

2. Polish away dull winter skin

If you’re after a spring glow, then exfoliation is a must – as we age, the rate at which our skin turns over and gets rid of old skin cells slows. Exfoliating helps this process along so that your skin can absorb moisture more effectively and look so much dewier. We recommend exfoliating your skin with our Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator at least once a week and up to 2-3 times a week, depending upon your age and skin type. Our exfoliator uses rolled lavender flowers and not micro-beads to gently lift dead skin cells.

 

3. Lighten up with a summer-weight moisturiser

Summer is the time to swap your moisturiser for something a little lighter. Try our Daily Moisturiser for a light-weight but effective rehydration. If your skin is dry add a few drops of Facial Oil to give it a much needed boost. Massage this in throughly and your skin will thank you for the added oxygen and nutrient rush you've given it.
